Senior Windows Deployment Engineer

Grid Dynamics, a fast growing professional services company recently named a «Cool Vendor» by Gartner, is looking for Senior Windows Deployment Engineer. We work primarily with large enterprise customers, companies such as Microsoft, eBay, Macys and PayPal, who rely on our expertise in scaling mission-critical systems. To support our growth, we are looking for experienced deployment engineers with strong Windows skills.
    Responsibilities:
  • Support and continuous enhancement of software development infrastructure (continuous integration, databases, cloud services, systems monitoring, etc.)
  • Consulting of developers in infrastructure configuration issues (OS performance optimization, network bottlenecks, storage configuration, etc).
  • Work inside the team of software engineers deeply integrated in software delivery process.
  • Collaboration with distributed team of developers, testers, analysts (Moscow, Kharkov, Saratov, San-Francisco)
  • Collaboration with corporate and customer’s IT services

    Requirements:
  • Fluency in Windows administration.
  • Fluency in PowerShell scripting.
  • Network administration, network protocols knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP), firewall configuration.
  • Setting up and configuring virtualization platforms: Hyper-V, VMware ESX
  • Setting up and configuring common services: Active Directory, IIS, MSSQL.
  • Version control systems: Subversion, CVS, Git, Mercurial.
  • Deployment automation experience.
  • Desire and ability for quick learning of new tools and technologies.
  • Good communication skills and technical English.
  • Bachelors or Engineer’s degree in one of: Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics (or equivalent education/experience).

    Desired:
  • Experience with Windows Azure, Windows HPC Server
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center products
  • Experience with Sharepoint, Exchange
  • Understanding of general programming concepts
