Grid Dynamics, a fast growing professional services company recently named a «Cool Vendor» by Gartner, is looking for Senior Windows Deployment Engineer. We work primarily with large enterprise customers, companies such as Microsoft, eBay, Macys and PayPal, who rely on our expertise in scaling mission-critical systems. To support our growth, we are looking for experienced deployment engineers with strong Windows skills.
    Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement technical solutions in the IaaS space
  • Produce high quality, tested and documented artifacts
  • Create, evaluate and select options for technology design
  • Work with engineering managers to estimate implementation effort and staffing
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers
  • Assist with technical sales support
  • Actively participate in the open-source community.

    Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of hands-on software development experience
  • Ability to write quality code (Python, C, bash)
  • Strong understanding of software design
  • Experience in designing distributed systems is a plus
  • Experience with continuous testing and deployment
  • Strong understanding of operating systems (at least one Linux distribution)
  • Strong understanding of internetworking protocols
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, Xen)
  • Experience in building reliable systems using open-source software
  • Ability to work on every level of the stack, from the application down to the metal
  • Strong understanding of SQL-based DBMS (at least MySQL)
  • Experience with NOSQL systems is a plus
  • Experience with messaging brokers and frameworks is a plus
  • Ability to work with DVCS (Git, Mercurial, Bazaar-NG) is a plus
  • Background in web-scale systems or cloud computing strongly preferred
